Do you reckon David Moyes knows this as well ?

*waits for West Ham's ads for players on WHO, when they realise at the last moment they've got 6 first-teamers available*

Blimey, this shouldn't just be brushed under the carpet, this could seriously impact our season?

Better get a stretcher lined up and stock up the grub and drink for Michel in the treatment room.

Wonder if Nolan can still do a job up front ?

Re: Antonio going to be called up for Jamaicas 8 games coming up.
Said all along his new contract should have stipulated retiring from international football. If we were clever enough to demand that, or get cover, we deserve all that happens should it blow up in our faces

Re: Antonio going to be called up for Jamaicas 8 games coming up.
Three fixtures for Jamaica in the upcoming international break in September, three premier league fixtures and two Europa League games also for us in that same month. Potentially eight games for Antonio to feature in during September along with all the traveling.

8 GAMES!!! That is a third of Antonio's season

Re: Antonio going to be called up for Jamaicas 8 games coming up.
It is a pretty brutal compressed schedule because of COVID with a decent amount of travel involved.

The September one is not that bad for them travel wise.
Mexico, Jamaica, Honduras (though their fans can be rough on you)

The Friday, Sunday and then Thursday. We play the Saturday before and Saturday after.

October is the Jamaica, Canada (probably Toronto but maybe Montreal or Edmonton) and back.

Let's hope Yarmolenko is practicing playing with his back to goal...

Ricketts does like to talk but they seem confident he is coming this time.

He was included in a preliminary squad for the Gold Cup but I guess the paper work wasn't done.

Re: Antonio going to be called up for Jamaicas 8 games coming up.
It will be an absolute joke to lose our only striker for a large part of the season so he can swan off on a vanity project playing 'international' football for a Micky Mouse football nation, one that he has probably barely visited in his life.

That said, the board and Moyes' collective failures to sign an alternative to Antonio (and replacement of Haller who left EIGHT MONTHS AGOG) will fuck up our season if they don't pull their fingers out.

I think it's great.

It makes it completely blindingly obvious that we need another striker who's at a level that competes with Antonio.

Re: Antonio going to be called up for Jamaicas 8 games coming up.
Isn't the most ludicrous thing here that Gareth hasn't realised what an asset Antonio would be as an alternative to all the same fucking type of striker he already has?! Even if it's just for 10 caps in total to get us qualified and a single desperate game changing contribution during the tournament and that's the end of his career for England.

If you're tactics amount to shutting up shop after scoring in the 3rd minute and defending for your life, surely he's a better option than nothing up top as Kane turns into your 6th midfielder.

Re: Antonio going to be called up for Jamaicas 8 games coming up.
To be fair all of the international teams are talking about rotating somewhat for the three games. I can see Antonio missing at least the last one.

They start playing in Costa Rica (made a mistake in my last post) at 2:00am UK time on Sept 9th, we play at 3pm on Sept 11th.

Re: Antonio going to be called up for Jamaicas 8 games coming up.
Antonio isn’t good enough for England. Only deluded West Ham fans think he is.

He should be getting so much sick for choosing to put Jamaica ahead of the club that pay his wages.

Dandy Lyon 7:45 Wed Aug 18
Re: Antonio going to be called up for Jamaicas 8 games coming up.
Can see him cramping up and doing damage on his flight back and then pulling a muscle on our September 11th game as we’ve had to pick him as no alternative.

Will hands down be the worst thing to happen in September 11th involving a plane

Re: Antonio going to be called up for Jamaicas 8 games coming up.
Southgate is going for youth so even if Antonio was International quality he wouldn't be picked because of his age. Can't believe we haven't got a striker in though, especially with Antonio's injury record, even Jordan Hugill would do!!
